The more I read in the Internet about becoming self-employed, the more I feel I will succeed. Why? Because becoming an Internet entrepreneur is like quitting cigarettes or losingweight - gather more people around you with similar goals and it will be easier to reach your targets together. I regularly feed myself with articles and ebooks of people who have developed their own business or are on the way to it. Not only makes me feel more confident about my efforts, but also there is something else - I feel that we all do this together, especially that most of this people want to share their knowledge, support you and guide you because they know how hard it is in the beginning.
A friend of mine went to the USA for summer holidays and while doing some sightseeing, she met a guy and started to have a chat with him. They were talking friendly for a while and then she said she would like to come to America to continue her studies but can’t afford that. And like in the American dream, he offered her financial support to cover all the costs. He said that somebody helped him in the same way when he was young. After graudating from university she is now studying MBA while working as a stock market analyst in one of the companies in North Carolina.
Probably you have heard a lot of stories like this and they are indeed nice to read but what is my purpose of writing about that?
Just to give you the background for a few people in the Internet that spend their time so you can gain confidence and knowledge to run your own business and control your life not depending on the job market.
Steve Pavlina is probably well known for many people reading about personal development but if you haven’t heard about him you should definitelly visit his blog starting from the post 10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job.
All you really need is the courage to be yourself. Your real value is rooted in who you are, not what you do. The only thing you need actually do is express your real self to the world. You??Â?Â?ve been told all sort of lies as to why you can??Â?Â?t do that. But you??Â?Â?ll never know true happiness and fulfillment until you summon the courage to do it anyway.
Just recently I have found an interview with Michael Mann on SEOBook and I decided to download his ebook called Make Millions and Make Change! for entrepreneurs and non-profits. With every page I am realizing where my thinking needs changing and what kind of actions I need to take to reach my goals.
To be a truly successful entrepreneur, there can never be any doubt in your mind that you will accomplish your goals, even if you have to alter your plans occasionally to hit the same targets. Your success is a much a matter of your willpower as it is of the skills you will develop on your journey.
I have already written about Chris Pearson in the previous post regarding his theme, but I would also like to encourage you to read his story, how he kissed corporate life goodbye.
As long as you possess a transferable skillset, then you have everything you need to break free. Know Microsoft Office inside and out? Awesome. You can install five different CMS platforms on just about any server under the sun? Looks good to me. Got experience networking computers and wrangling broadband connections? You??Â?Â?re set.
And the last person I would like to remind you about Robert Kiyosaki and his bestseller “Rich Dad, Poor Dad“. In his book he always says - “don’t work for the money, let your money work for you”. If Robert wasn’t dealing with real estates he would probably say: “don’t work for money, let your websites work for you“.
I am aware that this list of names is endless but I wanted to present just a few hoping you can find some new resources that will help you in establishing your own business.
Come back tomorrow for another part for Sharing Matters and in the meantime visit Tropicalseo.com to find out if you are lazy enough?
